In concert with the new Strategy Planning Document of the Institute and in light of the varied needs of the community, the Language Resource and Writing Cell (LRWC) was set up in the newly developed space in the Central Library, next to the 24-hour reading room. The Cell became operative in 2019.
The key purpose of the cell is to conduct and co-ordinate activities to improve the English language skills across the student body.

Babruwan Kore is responsible for offering English language support to in-house students across all progammes in the Institute. He joined the Language Resource and Writing Cell (LRWC) of IIT Bombay as a Senior Language Instructor in 2019. He has over 15 years' teaching experience . His areas of interest include academic English, business English, grammaring skills, sentence skills, vocabulary building, conversational fluency, and ELT material development.
